For the Christine Avery Learning Center (CWA), I designed and developed a vibrant, mission-driven website that reflects their dedication to empowering marginalized communities in Western North Carolina. The goal was to create an online presence that not only informs but also inspires support for their educational and community programs.
The site showcases CWA’s diverse offerings — from Early Learning and NC Pre-K programs to After-School, Summer, and Workforce Development initiatives. I focused on creating a warm, approachable design that mirrors their philosophy of “I Am Loved And Cared for” (IALAC), while ensuring accessibility and ease of navigation for families, donors, and community partners.
Key sections highlight CWA’s mission, history, programs, events, and ways to get involved. The donation and sponsorship pathways are strategically integrated to encourage community support, while location pages and contact tools make it simple for parents and volunteers to connect.
The design combines visual storytelling with functional clarity, blending heartfelt imagery, clear program descriptions, and strong calls to action. This balance ensures the website is not only a resource hub for existing families but also a powerful outreach tool for expanding CWA’s impact.
